Erlend Ropstad releases new single and music video: "Filmen om oss"
The award-winning artist and songwriter Erlend Ropstad is back with new music. On August 23, he will release the new single and music video "Filmen om oss," which offers a glimpse of his upcoming album "Like evig som oss" set to release October 18th.
"I thought it would be fun to write a song about our meta-lives, how we now publish 'live' images and videos of our life events," says Ropstad. "At the same time, I wanted to play with the idea that memories of events in our lives, from before everyone published everything, can be seen as a film or script."
The music video for "Filmen om oss" is a visual journey from a trip to Scotland in March 2024, where Ropstad and photographer Pål Laukli captured moments that are now part of the "Like evig som oss" project. The video provides an authentic and nostalgic feel, elegantly and minimally reflecting the song's theme.
