SLØTFACE - Film Buff
SLØTFACE - Film Buff
Release date: September 27th, 2024
"Film Buff" is the 3rd full length studio album from Sløtface, out September 27th via Propeller Recordings.
Sløtface (first called and still pronounced Slutface) is a Norwegian rock-band-collective led by vocalist and main songwriter Haley Shea. Sløtface began as a four-piece band started by high-school friends Shea, Lasse Lokøy, Tor-Arne Vikingstad and Halvard Skeie Wiencke in 2012. From 2012-2021 the band in its first form released two full length albums, the acclaimed 2017 debut "Try Not to Freak Out" and the 2020 follow up "Sorry for the late reply" propelling them far beyond Norway's borders and seeing their music featured in hit Netflix show "Sex Education" and other prominent sync placements. In 2022 Sløtface announced that Shea would go on to lead Sløtface in its next chapter after the amicable departures of Lokøy and Vikingstad.
The album was written in Oslo, in producer and main collaborator Preben Sælid Andersen's studio, and various studios, rehearsal spaces and apartments of all the core band members who play on the whole record. Simen Følstad Nilsen (guitar), Tobias Osland (guitar), Marie Moe (bass) and Nils Jørgen Nilsen (drums) make up the core Sløtface live-band, and also helped write and finish the songs. The excellent songwriters Daniel Hedberg, Michael Champion and Paul Whalley have also contributed to the album.
