Jordsjuk - Råtner på rot (vinyl EP) (preorder 18.09.2026)

The debut EP from Norway's rising blackened metal force Jordsjuk, finally on vinyl!

Four tracks of straight-in-your-face, riff-driven and primal extreme metal. Catchy and devil-may-care, including the live favorites "Siste Skanse" and "Viva La Apocalypse".

'Råtner på rot' was first released spring 2024, and Jordsjuk quickly caught the attention of listeners, press and festivals. Norway's Dagsavisen wrote "this could be one of this years hardest sensations", and Metal Injection (USA) had already named Jordsjuk as one of the most promising new Norwegian bands. Jordsjuk made their live debut at Oslo's Orgivm Satanicvm festival in 2024, and the band soon got booked to among others Midgardsblot and by:Larm.

The EP was recorded at Strand Studio, and at various locations in Oslo, in 2023. Produced by Eirik Renton. The recording was mixed by Jaime Gomez Arellano, known for his work with among others Ghost, Behemoth and Mayhem. Remastered for vinyl by Tom Kvålsvoll, 2026.

Jordsjuk, fronted by Mannevond on vocals, and songwriter Renton on drums, with Sagstad and Larsen on strings, later won the prestigious Spellemannprisen, aka "The Norwegian Grammy", in the category of Hardrock & Metal, for their debut album 'Naglet til livet', released 2025.

In 2026 and 2027 the band will do some twenty concerts and festivals, in Norway and abroad.
