Ti is the sound of a band that’s come a long way since their debut in 2004. From agitated to calm, lavish to minimalistic – on this album you will hear it all. Skambankt’s unique twist on melodic and hard-hitting rock, while also writing poetic and meaningful lyrics struck an immediate nerve in their listeners.
Back in 1994 Skambankt came together by mere chance due to another band canceling a booked gig. Within a few hours, the band members had written nine songs that were performed the same evening. It would be 10 years before the band would release their self-titled debut album in 2004. This album immediately found its way into the hearts of the listeners and Skambankt´s fanbase started to grow rapidly.
Skambankt is undoubtably still one of the biggest national Norwegian rock bands today. In 2013, they walked away with the Spotify award for 'Innovator of the Year' under Spellemannprisen. Since then, the band have released 3 critically acclaimed studio albums, a live album from their sold-out show in Oslo, toured countless venues in Norway, played loads of festivals, had several of their singles A-listed on Norwegian National radio, and gotten to #1 and #2 on the vinyl charts in Norway – only to mention some highlights.
