Norwegian rock-legends Skambankt follow up their latest acoustic album «1994», with another, rather non-typical Skambankt release. "Jærtegn" will be out on Jan 29, 2021, and pre-orders for the CD, black vinyl and white vinyl are up today via the record shop Tiger!
The stunning photograph on the front cover, is taken by Morten Tellefsen who won the Skambankt and foto.no cover competition. The band comments:
"Since there were so many great submitted pictures to the competition, it has taken us a bit longer than planned to pick the winner. In the end we all agreed on this one to be the cover of "Jærtegn".
This photo works well as an album front cover. It stands out, there’s a lot of symbolism, and it's an attention grabber. It's vulnerable, beautiful and a great photograph. We also feel that the photo match the music, which on this album will continue in the veins of "1994". It's a bonus that the cover also has a link to the end scene of the music video for "SOS".
Congratulations to Morten Tellefsen!"

The upcoming album is more rock, with a hint of country, indie, and acoustic elements intertwined in a profound sonic experience. After a successful Norwegian tour earlier this Fall, with sold-out venues and extra concerts, the band is ready to release the next album in January.
